Don't we all looove the white tee + blue jeans combo? Yup! That's a classic and a truly timeless trend that'll never go out of style. Ever. Today's outfit post is all about that. Since, spring/summer is finally here, I chose to go the lace route with a gorgeous white New Look lace top. My trusty Diesel jeans and my favorite pair of Michael Kors high top sneakers and classic aviators completed my minimal look. Ideal for a warm day. The pictures were shot at the picturesque historical place called Mandav. Ah, India and ancient palaces go together like white tee and blue jeans ;)

Splurge vs Steal

September 30, 2013

Splurge vs steal

Ever walked into a store and saw something you couldn't take your eyes off and think you just have to buy it? But.... you look at the price, gasp, sigh and quietly put it back! It happens to everyone. How you wish you could magically zap all the lust-worthy clothes, accesories and shoes you see on your favorite celeb, on the runway, in a high end designer store or heck, even on Pinterest, right into your closet. Well, you could do that. Sort of. Not by magic but by looking for inexpensive alternatives and lookalikes of your favorite luxury pieces in your highstreet stores. Never underestimate the power of highstreet! They've got some serious fashion! You don't have to necessarily burn the bank to look fabulous. Sometimes happiness is found in your very own backyard... I mean, highstreet store! Check out what can you steal from the real:

Splurge: Christian Louboutin Pigalle flats - $1095
Steal: River Island spiked flats - $48

Splurge: Chloe studded boots - $1345
Steal: NLY Lincoln buckle boots - $150

Splurge: Valentino Rockstud tote - $1686
Steal: Michael Kors - $428

Splurge: Gucci Ursula gladiator sandals - $850
Steal: River Island ankle strap sandals - $48

Splurge: Jimmy Choo glitter candy clutch - $725 (in gold version)
Steal: Lulu Townsend glitter clutch - $60

There are many more highstreet alternatives of designer items. What are your favorites? Tell me via the comments section.

I will be regularly posting "Splurge vs Steal" posts. Might as well make it a new section! ;) Watch this space for more!

Trend Alert: High Top Sneakers

August 21, 2013

Look what finally arrived! My very own Michael Kors High Top sneakers! This trend has been a rage ever since Isabel Marant first came out with them in spring last year. She has re-invented and spiced up the classic flat sneaker and how! Since then, many other fashion brands like Marc Jacobs, Giuseppe Zanotti, Christian Louboutin, Lanvin, Michael Kors, Chloe and Ash to name a few, have come up with their own version of a high top sneaker. Sneakers have always been known for "comfort over fashion" but not anymore! These high top sneakers are as comfortable as they're trendy. Pair them with your favorite pair of jeans or shorts and elevate your outfit to several notches!
So go grab a pair of your very own wedge sneakers which are available in affordable prices at your favorite high street stores like Zara, Mango, Topshop, River Island, Steve Madden. Target too has come up with Isabel Marant imitations.
Let me know via the comments section what you think of this trend. Is is hot or not?
