Fashion Forward Season 4: Day 2

On day two i watched 2 shows and ones which i was truly looking forward to. They were, Hasan Hejazi and Dany Tabet. As usual the Mina A'Salam hotel at Madinat Jumeirah, the venue where this event was taking place, was bustling with fashion enthusiasts queuing to watch the shows. Read on to find collection reviews of the two shows, pictures as well as my outfit details for day 2:


Hasan Hejazi

Hasan Hejazi’s collection for Spring/Summer ‘15, presented in partnership with Audi, features a clean fresh colour palette in luxurious embroidered fabrics and silks. The show featured some of Hasan’s favourite archive pieces, famously worn by his celebrity clientele, such as Kylie Minogue, Jourdan Dunn, Eva Longoria, Jessie J, Cheryl Cole and Paloma Faith, as well as an all-new collection for his inaugural show at Fashion Forward. The show’s highlight was the premiere of a unique dress inspired by Audi marking Hasan’s debut. Renowned for statement gowns that demand attention, this one-off piece has been created in collaboration with Audi and Hasan has taken his inspiration from Audi’s design cues of purity, intrigue, creativity, sophistication and originality.

The inspiration behind Dany Tabet's  SS15 collection had a deep concept to it. In his own words "Growing up, the world no longer appears as it did as a child. The desert isn’t as magical of a place and the quest for oil is a reality—but let’s try and make something beautiful out of it, anyway." 

The collection featured seductive and intricately embellished cocktail gowns and dresses with metallic hues (to represent the metals found on earth) and sheer detailing. It also included one sheer panelled bridal gown. Looking at gowns and dresses, one can only imagine the amount of time and effort that goes into the delicate beading and embellishments of each design. I, being a fan of sequinned, shiny and embellished things, these stunning dresses went straight to my wish list!
