Spring's almost here! And this year the spring trends are a breath of fresh air and a visual treat! Daytime metallic, sportswear inspired outfits, mesh detailing, shirt dresses, Mules, artsy prints and lots more dominated the runways. They are fun, interesting and majorly chic! Playing dress up this spring is sure gonna get a whole lot better!  Read on to find the best of trends to try out this spring with The Style Sorbet's trend report:


1. Tea length skirts

A cross between midi and maxi skirts, these romantic and ultra feminine skirts are best suited for all body types and looks great! 

2. Metallic

Metallic is one trend which makes its presence felt in every collection or season, this spring being no different. It's definitely here to stay for many more seasons to come!

3. Fringe

4. Pastels

This evergreen spring trend is here yet again with a fresh take. We can never get enough of these cutesy hues!

5. Sportswear inspired

Athletic influences were seen in many collections, yet they had a chic and sexy feel to it. Sweatshirts, varsity jackets, jerseys and lots more. But I ain't playing sports in those!

Printed messages and logos were major in the spring runways. Slogan tees, sweatshirts, skirts and much more were to be seen. I think it spells chic whatsoever!

7. Sheer

The peek-a-boo trend has been going strong for many seasons and continues to do so. It instantly adds a sex appeal to an outfit and is perfect for spring!

Beautiful artistic prints on the runways took us to a trip to the art museums around the world. Abstract, pop art, portrait and many more influences were seen. Eye grabbing and edgy!

10. Mules

Altuzarra Spring 2014 shoes

(Not to be confused with the animal) This shoe type is making a comeback this spring with more fashion forward designs and styles. It's best to opt for a higher heel to avoid a dated look.
