In it's own words, Fashion Forward (FFWD) aims to be the definitive fashion platform for the Middle East – a fashion movement that highlights strengths, inspires and nurtures industry growth and its wealth of talent, with the ultimate goal of driving forward the entire fashion industry in the region.
I attended Day 1 and Day 2 of the event, catching a couple of shows by new as well as established designers and was thoroughly impressed by their sheer display of amazing talent!

Hussein Bazaza's SS’16 is inspired by the Persian culture, architecture and arts. The story behind the collection is about The Princess Mithra, who survived after nuclear bomb explosion created by King of Persia and how she lived through the rise of the nature after the explosion.

Extravagant, voluminous, lacy and sparkly in all its glory is exactly what Michael Cinco's designs are known for. The collection inspired by Gothic churches and its breathtaking stained glass windows. The show stopper piece was absolutely mesmerizing! Although, the black cocktails dresses were slightly lacklustre, the overall collection more than made up for it.

I only attended FFWD day 2 for a short while and skipped day 3 since i had prior commitments. I look forward to what the next season has in store for us in April next year.
